“ Disclaimer this was my first time trying Peruvian food but wow wow wow! Difficult to imagine anything else topping their Lomo saltado. Also the bread their serve before the meal comes out. Phenomenal. A must try for anyone in the area looking for excellent Peruvian food ”
“ This restaurant is a must-visit for Peruvian food lovers. - The yuca with yellow sauce topped with a boiled egg was a standout - The corn cheese with butter was a rich, comforting delight. - The ceviche was fresh and flavorful - The steak pasta impressed with its unique tomato slices and delicious sauce - Even the rice was perfectly cooked and generously portioned. - Drink: the local drink with Passion fruit and homemade drink are highly recommended. The live music on weekends created a fun, family-friendly vibe, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for great food and a lively atmosphere! 10/10!!! ”
“ Been there several times I'm always pleased with the food and the service, my two gas left the food as well We sat on the street patio that's usually where I like sitting ”
“ A pleasantly underrated surprise! As a Glendale native & first-timer, I have to say that Lola's might be one of Glendale's best-kept secrets. Such a delicious & unique menu - I'll be back again for sure. I had a lovely dinner with my parents tonight at Lola's & everything we tried was 10/10: starting with the bread, this + rice are a must if you plan to order any of the soups or stews for getting the most out of savoring all the flavors. The bread also comes with a couple special buttery dips that pack a flavorful punch of herbs & spices. The next 5 items we ordered, I'd have to say - I consider them all musts (1) Parihuela - if you are a Cioppino snob, or even just a lover of seafood, the flavor of this broth alone will knock your socks off. If I had to pick a favorite dish, it'd be this (while very close.) (2) Tallarin Saltado de Carne - I was initially skeptical of a linguini pasta sauteed with beef strips & soy sauce, but it was completely awesome, with honestly enough pasta for 1.5-2 people! (3) Cau Cau - hard to describe but a chicken stew with peas, potatoes, & turmeric with a curry sensibility - very delicious & ideal with rice. (4) Shrimp Chowder - if you like coconut curries, this was reminiscent & both delicious as well as well-portioned (5) Finally the Crocante de Lucuma- if you've got a sweet tooth & looking for something unique, this was a delicious mousse pie to wrap the night. Bonus: very nice service staff & great live music Fridays & Saturdays. Parking tip: hit the side streets east of Brand Blvd! ”
“ Food was great , we ordered Loma Saltado and Chicharron de pescada so delicious. Fried fish was crispy outside but juicy inside, Steak in Loma Saltado was juicy and well seasoned. I had passion fruit mojito and I can't find words to describe how amazing was it . Prices were a bit pricey but for sure worth it . Waitress informed us they have live music every weekend at 7:00pm . Will definitely return ”
“ Great tasting Peruvian food . Good service, and beautiful ambiance . Chi cha brought back many great memories with its authentic flavors. This spontaneous stop did not disappoint. ”
“ We ordered takeout for dinner from Lola's during a quick overnight stay in Glendale. It appeared closed from the outside, and we almost went to another place. Fortunately, another group decided to open the door and when I realized they were open, we followed suit. The staff was welcoming and helpful. After briefly looking over the menu, we ordered the following: Yuca Frita a la Huancaina $18 Seafood saltado $29 Lomo saltado, beef $29 We took our meals to the hotel and immediately dug in. I was pleased to see that the portions were generous, especially since they're on the pricey side IMO. My seafood saltado came with a good amount of seafood and the sauce was flavorful. My son also devoured his lomo saltado with no complaints. I only had a few bites of the yuca frita, but it was also delicious. Lola's was a great pick for dinner! ”
“ Back in the day during my food service years on Brand, I would often venture out to scope the competition and try my palette at a wide variety of cuisine. One particular place was Lola's. A small and cozy restaurant tucked away between other restaurants and stores. Easy to miss but worth finding. I have my usual Peruvian dish - Lomo Saltado. An absolute great balance of protein, carbs, and veggies. The dish is a master of blanch with the savory, tender beef, oily fries, the crunch of onions and veggies, all brought together with rice. Add some of their Aji Verde (green hot sauce) and you're in. Although I've had better sauce at other establishments. My wife got a seafood pasta. I thought it was good but a bit salty. However, my wife felt it had a strong seafood aftertaste, which is surprising because she loves seafood and the fishiness of many dishes. We did bring the leftovers home and after adding other ingredients, she did say it was good. We also ordered their fish ceviche and this was good. I can drink the entire juice from the bowl. The acidity and tenderness of the fish, along with the crunch of onion and corn, is a must try. Make sure you order the Inca Cola. This is better than butter beer! Service here is always friendly and staff is very welcoming. If you're in the mood for any of the above or other great dishes, like their pasta and steak pairing, go ahead and give this place a try! ”
